Progressing Nicely

Out here on my own scanning systems for the valuable data, seeing all the sight's as I wander. Time to reflect on the 3 years exploring, trading and fighting so far:Over the years I've done a fair bit of rare goods trading, I came across another pilot that gave me some inside information on systems that contained such items. since those early days, I've found considerably more, and from time to time I've started working my way through the list.
The crazy thing about where you go for these items, when you first arrive at a system, if you’re lucky, there's more than the stations allotted amount in stock, so you can pick up a considerable amount for very little outlay. I've found this for well into 20+ systems and it's been extremely lucrative. The distance you have to put between the system you bought them from and where you sell them at is considerable. I've found that anything over 150ly's is about optimal for best profit for effort.
The first time I did this I chose to plan my own route, taking me far out in the bubble for a string of 5 systems, looping round for another string of 5 systems sell all the Rare’s at the first system in the string. This gave me around 2.5 mil per complete cycle. The only issue was the waiting, waiting around for the stock to arrive at the station, just to max out my quota.
I've since used it for Engineers, like with The Dweller, selling these rare commodities helps with the rankings you have to climb.
I plan on visiting more systems with Rare’s in time, and I think it would be good to see all those new star systems along the way.
