Gnoing Gnowhere

On the fence, best place to be, you can see further than, and beyond either side. Why get involved in someone elses argument when you have no idea what at least one of the parties are saying.

I have come across the Thargoids before, I have been scanned whilst interrupting their scavenging, and ignored, on occasion I have been set on by their Tharglets, perhaps they just want me to not bother them... who can blame them, sometimes all a dog needs to do to be left alone is show it's teeth.

Once I took on some Scouts when I saw them attack another ship, neutralised one, not proud of it, then low wake'd the frell out of there before I took any more damage. Not being a coward, but I definitely wouldn't've survived a long drawn out engagement, especially since I'm more the Trader/Explorer.

Be that as it may, a scientific MegaShip with over 8000 souls on board, some gankers some A-X, but many unarmed explorers, only wanting to be part of the group to learn and discover, barely manages to get up to speed, and is dragged into a whole mess of eight-sided pew-pew. Many commanders being taken out on their pads moments after exiting the hangar bay.

Back to my analogy... when sitting on the fence, you see someone on one side throw a stone, which could easily of hit you, but lands squarely in the opposite sides face, you have 3 choices, stay where you are, and risk it happening again, expecting an escalation and a real chance of being knocked off the fence. Jump down and flatten the thrower surrounded by his buddies, or go to assist the fallen and support their need for justice.

What does that mean? I tool up a Cobra III and start the long hike to lend support and if not to take down some aggressors, then at least provide some cover for those wanting to get away.

Either way, I'm going to be a part of this, because this is my galaxy too.
