Made my way to Meredith City in good time. Took the Python with its 256t hold. Filled it with Beryillium for a small profit on arrival. Never fly with an empty hold if you can help it.Found a friendly chap offering a tidy clutch of 5 Security firmware patches. All I had to do was scan a data port at a mega ship a couple of hops away.
I figure I’d be risking bending the data port antenna with the nose of the Python and I don’t feel like waiting for a smaller contingent of my fleet to be delivered. So I buy a cheap and cheerful Sidewinder, slap in an A1 FSD and head out.
Scan the data port….. nothing. Just in case our guy at Meredith City has got the brains of a collector limpet and sent me to the wrong mega ship, I try the only other one in the system. Scan the data port… again, nothing. Either the data port is bugged or my mission giver has done a runner and cut the link.
So now all I can do is abandon the contract and take a rep hit. Where’s the justice in that!
