Starting the long drive to the center...

Have a new Diamondback Explorer, The Aronnax.
Will begin a long trip to Sagittarius A*; a trip I am not necessarily looking forward to.
Space... The final frontier... To boldly go where a bunch of other commanders have gone before.

Away from civilization, away from the center, out to the first point of interest (POI)--the star Maia in the Pleiades nebula.
Ooh! There is a black hole here and I've not seen one of those.
There is an annoying dot, like a laser point on my screen.
Wait, two dots.
Off to investigate the black hole...
Damn it! Servers will be down in fifteen minutes. Not sure I'm going to make it.
Ten minutes and 70,000Ls to go.
20,000Ls, lensing is apparent.
1Megameter, I can see it!
Dropped out of supercruise to scan.
Making the approach to a black hole is quite nerve racking; the gravitational lensing is disorienting and I was unsure how the gravity would affect my boat.
Saved and quit with one minute until server downtime.
300+Lys traveled.

Approximately 625 lightyears into this, first undiscovered bodies found.
I will not scan all bodies in this system. I will leave most so that maybe future explorers may leave their mark here.
New plan idea: I will travel straight out (away from center) until I intersect the Perseus Arm, and then follow the Perseus Arm into the center. Maybe.
Still driving. Few undiscovered systems here and there.
First large totally undiscovered system found. Binary stars. Many bodies. But, girlfriend is home. Time to shut it down for the night.
