My Week in Elite 3307.01.30

Having recently returned to the 'pit, I've spent the week running transport missions and bounty hunting. Inara medals and ranking are the focus. I want to climb the ranks. First up was getting the Captain's medal, and got that one over the line by running bulk transport missions in my rumble bus Krait called Parabellum. Just moved to a new system after spending the past two years in Dvorsi, so had to whistle for a couple of first class cabins, and once they arrived I chained transport missions until the medal fired. Needing just 32 more VIPs to hit the secondary threshold for badge level 2 I then chained VIP missions for a couple hours until that goal was met. Movin' on up!My main long-range goal is finally hitting triple Elite. So I spent a bit of time hunting bounties in several ships. The Vulture got dusted off for a session, and another in the Courier, but most in my combat sweeper Krait II, Poison Whiskey. This ship is set up with cargo racks and collector limpets and is intended to sweep the mats dropped from combat kills to keep the stocks high. I'm not engineering anything at the mo, but gotta keep the mats rolling in for when that time comes again.
Combat rank stands now at 43% Deadly, so not far, and yet so far to go. On average I am bumping a point for every 30 kills, so just another 1,700 or so to go at this rate.
