Is this thing working? I see the light blinking, although that is about 1 in many... Well here goes.... Eat, Sleep, Fix, check and repeat that seems to be my constant routine these days, in a trip that I was so looking forward to... Find the Zurara they said, OK I said..... really should have known better.... but here I am on a planet in god knows which system, well that's not entirely true! God and my ship know but for some reason again the ship is refusing to tell me....... I know I'm lightyears from anywhere on a ship that is really taking a pounding and to try and speed up the journey I'm managed to get my data device to find a "local" network of Neutron Stars to try and shave some time...... No problem with that! The FSD is not in a good way and my AFMU is empty so I'm down to canabalisation...... But good news the coffee and food supplies are plentiful....

OK that was a bit of a rant and let me back up...... truth is ship does still fly and out here that REALLY matters, at my last look the next star is about 16jumps, can't remember how far though but with stars being so sparse around this area of space it's really slowng me down... I arrived on planet Sunday and spent most of that time trying to get the majority of damaged systems repaired, you know it's odd I really miss that computer chirpping in "Frame Drive Charging" when it either sounds like a warped sound clip or scrambled or usually just silent... Today I've been tinkering with the SRV which is probably the one piece of tech thats handling this trip better than most. My day (as always) started with a quick EVA onto the ship surface and inspect the hull and landing legs, and all appear to be intact, now I'm not suggesting that those things will spontaneously just fail but with so many systems either malfunctioning or failed I simply just dont know. The now standard "thermonuclear reactor" that powers every space faring vessel is stable and working OK so thats a plus.....

It's been about 4months since I last came across in form of human civilisation yeah sure it was abandoned but I'm starting to miss it, and I hear you say why don't I just turn around???? Well short answer is I dont want to.... Yep you heard that right, out here is dark, sparse, dangerous and lets be honest soul destroying but the view I get when I look back towards the Galaxy Core is mind blowing and apparently The Zurara is still in orbit around a very nice water world I have to see it...... Not to mention the exploration data I can hand in back at Hajangai...... oooooooooooooooooo new ship!!!!

Let's face it this ship will need an extensive overhaul.... So what is exactly working on board NSV Voyager? Looking around the habitation area I can just about see a place to sleep, I've managed to pull out and repair enough of the computer core to get this log captured and to be uplinked via the make shift beacon....... it's taking around 10 sols to reach the nearest Federation Core, why so little time it's text only..... well thats the backup but local copies are now saved to my personal data pad.... Extra copies stored in SRV computer core..... Anyway back to the condition of the ship.... There are many cables and connections pulled and sparking all over the place amongst the myriad of tools and panels.... So here goes whats working, well the reactor and engines are working without issues, although I've had to "tweak" the mixtures and we have blue exhaust but cant see how to change it back.... ooops, flight controls and RCS systems OK, Weapons are not needed much at here so they're all offline, sensors are operational, The FSD is failing but I've managed to shore it up but now I'm heading to the Neutron Highway I think I'll be overhauling/tinkering with it again before I'm done... Fuel Scoop is thankfully working without issues, and for a device that literally scoops ionised photons and plasma from a star I'd be pretty pissed off if it was to fail..... I dont think there are any fuel rats around here to fuel loss is NOT an option..... The one system which is really broken as I've canabalised it to keep some of the other areas working is the ECC and Life Support systems which IS still working thanks to redundancies. The o2, N2 sensors are broken or ahem missing, well I perfer to say reassigned and the CO2 filters are fine but the system is scrambled at 5 day experation..... cabin temp is set to 21C but it thinks its 16, thanks to having most of the system panels open it's very warm anyway..... Again a knackered sensor... atmos pressure is holding at around 1.3 due to the temperature increase but it seems to be working even if it doesn't quite know it.....

Well I've sat here long enough talking and tomorrow I am hoping to be pressing further out towards The Zurara, God I wish I had a Fleet Carrier........... Alas not yet....
