Log # 18 : Chasing the record update 3 : almost there

Oevasy SG-Y d0 8.7 ly from starNow sitting at 8.7 ly out into the intergalactic void, only so long now until the destination of 11.7 ly out . Even if only beating the record by 0.1 lightyears, I can claim the title of furthest human from humanity at least for a while. Maybe it would be wise not to go too far over because of the risk of becoming stranded, the fuel rats may not be willing to come out this way for someone else after rescuing cmdr Persera .
Already past the Deluvian record, 3 light years to go to the Persera record . Fuel levels have dropped below half capacity but not critical levels yet. Along with those fuel rats that came out to save Persera, I'm among the few of the furthest humans from humanity at this moment while not holding the record for furthest.
The light of the system star is now blending in with the light of the rest of the galaxy, the galaxy now illuminating the way into the black beyond. I think time spent face to face with the intergalactic void is begining to wear down on my psyche, but I think I won't be out here too much longer.... By the next entry I should be the record holder.
