Born into a life of poverty and street crime, Azura Seventhi was forced to grow up quick. The streets of Joku 5 were a dangerous place and Azura learned that at an early age. When she was 9 years old she witnessed something no child should ever have to see. Late one night in the run down Seventhi apartment, Azura was restless and laid in bed wide awake when she heard the sound of a window shattering. Curious, Azura peeked down the hall from behind her doorway and saw a swift shadow move across the hall from where the window was to the kitchen/living room. She then saw a second, larger shadow sprint into her parents bedroom. Shortly after, Azura hears the scream of her mother and the struggle between two people. Gunshots. More screaming. Then the crying of her baby brother, Draco. More gunshots. Azura then hears the two shadows yelling at each other, "WHAT DID YOU JUST DO?" "IT HAD TO BE DONE, I DIDN'T HAVE A CHOICE!" "Well grab the baby, we need to get out of here before the authorities get here. Man, Nash is going to be pissed." The two then leave just as quick as they broke in.
Azura slowly shuffles to her parents bedroom and peers inside to see her father lying on the ground, dead, shot in the chest, still pouring out blood. Then she looks up to see her mom still in bed, leaning up against the wall. She was shot three times. Once in the neck and twice in the chest. An image that will live with Azura for the rest of her life.
It didn't take long for the authorities to piece together what had happened, Azura told them what her traumatized mind could remember. Before Azura knew it, she was living in an orphanage. It was a poor, unkempt, and rundown orphanage. The social workers were mean and abusive. To survive this new harsh environment, Azura became tough. The other kids began to fear her.
After a couple years of living in the orphanage, Azura and three other kids decided pack their things up and run away. It wasn't hard at all. The doors were almost always unlocked. Once out of the orphanage, the kids weren't sure where to go or what to do. They ended up finding a small alleyway and setup a small living quarters. Unable to pay for food, the kids resorted to pickpocketing. Azura, skeptical at first, became a master of the craft. In fact, she found a natural talent in various sorts of thievery.
By the age of 16, Azura proved herself among the local thieves guilds and became a criminal mastermind. Still haunted by her dark past, Azura seemed ruthless and unforgiving at times. This earned her the nickname, 'The Wicked." And soon she became known by almost everyone in the district in which she called home.
Before long, a syndicate started to take notice of Azura and before she knew it she was opened up to a whole new world of thievery.... Space Pirating.
