Putting My Money Where My Mouth Is...

I said yesterday that I'd be taking the newly painted ASP Aaron Price to Colonia. Well, no time like the present, I guess.

The Lave system is under lockdown, so, being nearly at my Broker Trade Rank, I took a few jobs outside of Lave and the Pilot's Federation awarded me the Trade Rank. With that done, it was time to start my longest journey. As with any journey, something like this is best done in steps. I'm not trying to do anything fancy or anything greatly new, so the first major waypoint to Colonia is, of course, Hillary Depot. Choosing to use the Neutron Star Highway, I created an itinerary.

System Name                         Distance Remaining LY        Neut Jumps
Lave
PSR J1752-2806                   351.94         1,699.71                Yes        10
Col 359 Sector VZ-G d10-45    703.03        1,268.25           Yes        17
Col 359 Sector XK-F d11-32    112.43        1,192.12                Yes       1
Col 359 Sector UP-F d11-78   115.11        1,114.71           Yes   1
Swoiwns HY-F d12-37             212.26        913.54     Yes     3
Bleae Thua VN-T d3-12          666.41        414.21       Yes     16
Blu Thua AI-A c14-10      414.21         0.00                 9

And with that, we headed out...

I quickly stopped off at Stabenow Port in the Cavincan system to sell and store some provisions (remember, when I left Lave was under lockdown.

My first interesting sight was the Col 285 Sector GI-Z C14-8 T Tauri companion stars. There are actually three T Tau stars in this system, but only these are in close orbit. Still, they look nice.

Finally, I reached the first Pulsar in my Highway at PSR J1752-2806.

I literally had never supercharged the Frameshift Drive before. Oh, I'd read everything, I'd seen the holovids, but I'd never done it. So I approached the pulsar jet cautiously.

I'm very pleased to say this was entirely successful and gave me a boost of 158 LY rather than my usual 40 LY range. With that I reached Col 359 Sector XY-R d4-99. The next Pulsar on the Highway was about 17 jumps away, but tonight, I shut down the systems and got to bed.

You gotta pace yourself!
