Heat and Soul Journey: What was that?

I'm currently 3600 light years out from the Heart and Soul nebula's, so far this trip has be unremarkable, I've read a few books, caught up on some history and learned how to escape a neutron star's ejection cone relatively safely.Here's where things get somewhat intersecting, while I was refueling the Eudora at a class M star sensors pinged and the first USS popped up since I got about 1000 light years from the bubble. I tried to investigate but it was to close to the star, I almost took minor damage but thankfully the Eudora has heat-sinks.
"Computer make a note in the ships log, 2 heat sinks remaining"
[Command confirmed]
I'm so curious as to what that anomaly could have been, it was only a threat 0 but still, I just hope someone didn't need help. Even though the ship was beginning to overheat someone could still survive at that distance, I just can't risk damaging my own ship, not this far from civilization. Now we're a heat sink down, I just hope we won't need it later on.
I'm resuming course and should be at my destination within the next day.
