GARD and allies win the second war for Fortuna.

The war in Fortuna is won. Again. Several billion loyal Federation citizens can sleep safely in their beds once more, free of the spectre of theocracy that once so debilitatingly ruled societies.We can clap ourselves and our allies on the backs, share a beer at the Black Beluga and deride the fate of our enemy. This victory seemed more easily achieved than the last, while we saw some of their elite pilots in the first days of the war, they quickly chose to operate in the shadows to avoid our special forces, probably wise.
It seems we may have to fight this war again, we never seem to be able to quite eliminate their forces, nor extinguish their desire to bring their eternal night to Fortuna.
No matter, despite the fact we can take no open credit for this, rumours of sightings of GARD pilots will do our hearts and minds work for us. The people know GARD will never let ignorance and blind faith take a hold, or get any closer to Earth, our beloved home and will take solace from that. This far and no further.
I heard it mentioned that the Order had spread some propaganda through the system, and that they had some support. Initial investigations seem to intimate that while propaganda may have been circulated, theocracy is still considered the same cancer that it ever was in the Federation. Long may we remain Enlightened!
Our allies fought with honour and overwhelming force. EDF with a solid wave of devastation wrought daily, our hats go off to their dedicated pilots and the frontline force in this conflict, it was a pleasure to share a battlefield. FLC’s black ops forces taking out single critical pilots on the opposing side proved extremely effective as always, while GARD continued to set records for clearing out the designated combat zones.
While no part of me yearns for more death, I will not balk at my duty to the citizens of Fortuna, I pay my blood and sweat for their safety and enlightenment gladly. Should the enemy ever feel resurgent, we will be ready and It will be glorious once again. For the Greater Good! For the Federation!
