ENTRY 002 - Fuel Scoop

I get such a rush scooping for fuel when I first jump in a system. I love to push my ship to it's limit and see how much she can take. I will have to admit, the salesman at Garcia Station in Lo Pegasi sure knows what he was talking about when he helped me pick out this Diamondback Explorer.
I took a day from my route and rested a bit. The station, Minkowski Relay in Autrimnit was small but friendly. Only had the a skeleton crew that I was stationed there. Met a few friendly people during my stay there at their bar. You just have to go to every bar in any station. There are so many people to meet and stories to here...speaking of which, those Thargoid attacks on those stations....
I heard the story on Galnet in the earlier hours while stumbling back to my ship to rest for the night. The video of the Oracle attack is just devastating. I heard the appeal to all pilots to come help if they could. If I wasn't so far out from the sectors that got hit I would be there in a jump but I can't....Only thing I can do is prey that all the people are being rescued by the other pilots out there. I know there are many who are helping. I've gotten reports that even Commander Perin of the Perin Initiative came out and helped with her wing today.
Maybe tomorrow I can jump back to Garcia Station as fast as possible and outfit my ship to get some space to run some supplies over to the rescue ships. I'll have to check out the situation tomorrow.
On the good news, I was able to find some festive lights for about 6CR which I hung up. I know the holidays are here and it brings a smile to my face every time I see them. Maybe I can contact my family...but I'm not sure if I want to risk it.
