Yesterday I had come back to work and was just on autopilot. I hadn't been paying attention and I just picked up where I'd left off but today I sat down properly at my desk in Ochea Orbital and looked at everything.

Fleet first. They were scattered all over from my 10 month sabbatical. I called them all in. Pilots looking to break into the Pilots Federation tend to accept these types of jobs. There easy enough for them to do - pick up a certain ship and take it to a certain system. The company I use are quick, they're not the cheapest but I've never lost a ship or even had one damaged. Once they all turned up I set about reorganising.

I ended up with my trusted AspEx which has taken me all over this half of the galaxy. I've never been further than Sag A but it's certainly earnt its weight in voids with the thousands of systems it has visited. This will be my recon and exploration ship. Recon in terms of letting my visit all the systems around me, scanning all the bodies. Exploration for helping influence a system. I also have a Cobra Mk3 for some quick combat with a low rebuy. Great for mopping up in those Nav Beacons or Low Res sites. There is my pirate ship. The less I reveal about this the better and then I needed a replacement for The Executor. My trusted Python. Why change a good thing? I went straight to the nearest system and picked up a new Python. Same paint job. New load out. New name. Kraunaha Manager.

Ship admin sorted. Time to look properly at the state of the Company. The VP had done a good job keeping the gains going that I'd made in Chuntabon - kicking out the Feudal system of the Monarch of Chuntabon - but like I said yesterday, the HIP 117029 Resistance (HiRes) were pushing up. They had almost taken over a few weeks ago but the elections in another system had stopped anything taking off, however it's a scare I'm not having again.

Word of my return had started to spread. My admin and ground staff had fed back rumours. Some good. Some bad. Most outrageous. But the work I had done yesterday had already made a big difference. Waking up today I had pushed KI up to a 17% lead over HiRes but this wouldn't be enough. Another few days of concerted effort would be needed.

I set off for the dock yard and looked at my new ship. Immaculate paintwork. Clean. Strong. I chatted to the ground crew and then warmed her up whilst I looked at my first mission. Drugs were an issue in these small refinery systems and there had been some intel that the Binjanha Blue Drug Empire were going to be smuggling into a KI system. Time to break up this little party. Weapons ready. Jump coordinates set for Binjanha. Off we go.

It didn't take long for my systems to pick up the drug runners and I was soon hardpoints out. Weapons locked on. Lasers burning through shields, Multi-Cannon chattering out munitions, peppering the hull of the victims. less than 3 minutes and 4 ships gone.

Next job, delivery ship. Easy job in a ship with this much cargo space. Job done. I cashed in the chits and then donated it straight back to Chuntabon. I was doing all I could to get the population to want KI in charge.

The last two jobs sent me out to Jangman. Two missions. One to collect some samples from a crashed ship and the second to kill 2 pirates. Had they destroyed the ship? I don't know but its irrelevant. They're in the way and I'm coming through. In between these missions I was bounty hunting too, netting me about 250,000cr to cash in.

That will be it for the day I think. A solid days work and it is working. Tabloid rumours are that we're about to declare a boom so things are going to be getting better for the inhabitants of these refineries too. It's time for me to sleep but I'll be back tomorrow.
