Personal Log: From Pirates to Pleiades

Since I have gotte slightly bored again, I have some time to do some log-book keeping whilst I fly from engineer to engineer to pimp my I-Racer...The Pirate King's call had reached me and I did work for him for several months. I went through the ranks, fought his skirmishes - I hit rank 5 during the big Antal Undermining - and I did several special missions, met many fine pirates, smugglers and rebels there and I maintained a small pirate-news-station during that time.
It was good as long as it lasted. As I have experienced with the Federation a year before, Powerplay sucked me in and spit me out exhausted and weary again.
My last act of saying farewell was to participate in the community effort to have a rare good in Harma: RUM! Well thank you all ya pirates for that good time and have one glass on me, during enjoying your slaves and ensuring the quality of all that bootleg spirts!
At least I could afford the mighty Anaconda from the wages of rank 5 with the Archon. And it was a thrilling time. No comparison to boring and repetitive Quince money-scooping. Would never do that again. Life is to short for such a greedy time waste.
Now, after some outfitting and tuning I set sails for the Pleiades with my new ship - which I named Sysyphos. And I started to mentor a harmless crew-member, Alinah McConnell, who started her career defending refugees of the Peagsi Pirate Wars as Navy Fighter Squadron pilot. She shows great potential and I'd be happy to show her the way until she gets to the honors of being an elite pilot - well I am sure she'll be getting there before me. She shows that kind of ambition.
Aliens.
Well.
Next to the alien ship-wrecks which I already know for a long time now (hello Prof Palin)... the media has sent news about the discovery of some kind of alien base ...
Sure I am not one of the first to go there. Many stations have popped up in the pleiades since my last visit. It seems very much like an extension of the bubble now - not much different except of the pretty colours from the nebula.
I have gathered all sorts of unknown and alien stuff, probes, artefacts, links - I even spawned a strange star-map inside the alien-tunnels of this unknown base next to the oracle. Also a knowledgable commander who was investigating the site at the same time, told me of some rumors that the artefacts from the ancient ruins seem to interact in a hostile way with this bio-tech alien stuff. So if this is true this is another lead that we as humanity seem to deal with at least two alien races here , one maybe extinct the other flowery kind, many think thargoids, very alive.
Still I don't know much more then before. Whatever this is, it's a strange kind of bio-tech this aliens use.
