The enemy of my enemy...

3304-10-21 / LFT 78Now that I am back in the bubble with a lot of Guardian technology samples, I decided to buy an Alliance Chieftain, to equip it with that brand new ancient technology, to be ready to fight some of the meaner Thargoid vessels. I assembled a first fast build with the help of some engineers and remote workshops and tested it in Li Tzicnii, where I found some Thargoid Scouts, according to GalNet. First tests have run positive. I had some problems registering kills with the automated mission control scripts, but that was not the Chieftains fault. I found that I will need some more polymer capacitors to equip those many small hard points of my new Chieftain, called the "Sassy Susi", with overcharged multi-cannons.
I had not to think long how to go about this business. I had to go to a combat-zone. Most of the larger combat-ships can be salvaged for those electrical devices I am looking for. Since I am still a loyal pledge to the Kumo Crew, I took a quick look at the political map to see that Archons favorite rival Yuri is going about an expansion in LFT 78. Nothing better than that, I thought. Yuris expansions take place in combat zones called "Armed Revolts". The perfect place to look for my polymer capacitors and get ranking up with Archon again.
I found that place quite busy and I met a fare share of other commanders. Yes Yuri Grom pilots fly in open now too. It seems some have left the cloak of their hidden stealth dimension! As I was taking down some ships in the Revolt Zones, I started to ponder...
LFT 78 was under control of the EG Union faction, the original faction of Euryale Gaia. It looks like Yuri is trying hard to get his powers control systems back to to Euryale. Is the perishing of Senator Torval a mere coincidence? Or is Yuri actively trying to push the old lady back from those systems where he originated from. If this is true, I might reconsider fighting against Yuri and in the contrary try to help him out. But only if this means that Grom will retreat from the systems neighboring the Crew. The enemy of my enemy is my friend the saying goes. And it might turn out that this is very true in this situation...
