Time for a small party

3306-02-14, Payne-Gaposchkin Port, Kholhou Those who know my story, know my dad travels around a lot. Last week he was in 30 Ceti. Close enough to Kholhou for me to invite him over. Kholhou was my home system for quite a while early in my career. I loved the scenery of Payne-Gaposchkin Port and did a lot of passenger-missions and exploration-runs from there. It was a good and profitable time. Until the war broke out. My Kholhou Empire League was challenged and I had to outfit my brand spanking new Anaconda with some heavy weapons and join the war-effort. I fought my ass off and collected a ton of combat-bonds, my ships data-banks still filled with millions in explorer-data. In hindsight, I should have known better, but I felt invincible and was fighting for the cause. Even when suddenly my shields went down, I wasn't faced: "I got the module-reinforcements". When the integrity of my ship went down enough I got out of there. Or so I thought. I couldn't seem to loose the mass-lock and my speed didn't really increase either. I eventually escaped my attackers, but my ship was dead in space, my power plant shot to pieces. I couldn't jump or move. I eventually had no other choice, than to self-destruct The Hitchens. It was the hardest day of my life and by far the costliest.

This is our accommodation for the day (the second on the left) and a picture of Pilots Federation park.
It seemed only fitting to return to Kholhou to celebrate with my father. I arrived before him and got the opportunity to see my father enter with the shuttle and dock almost right next to The Harris. We met up and first made a walk around my Corvette together. My father, as a Federal Navy veteran, was very impressed. After that we both checked in to our rental villa. After a red wine and a plate of cheese we suited up and went outside. My father isn't used to walking on planets, but it feels really weird to me walking around "outside" in a spacesuit. We walked our way along the length-axis of the hub. I haven't told my dad what we're doing in Kholhou, so we just enjoyed the walk. We ended up in the park around the Pilots Federation offices. We entered the offices and didn't have to wait long. With my father as a witness I was honored to receive my official Triple Elite insignia!
Just some scenic view and a nice picture of the Victor and Victoria monument.
Afterwards we went to Victor and Victoria park. We joked about feeling lucky not having a foot-fetish, but were kind of surprised to find Victoria has a camel-toe... We enjoyed the scenery of the park laying in the grass, speculating about the future and enjoying our day off. The next morning I went back to my current project in Maikoro working with the Casualties of Corrupted Space. To commemorate the day and the promotion I made a quick video. I added it below and hope you enjoy.
CMDR B.A.R wishes you a good day!
