Is There Something In The Water?

I'm not so sure it's the best move right now, but I decided to focus on missions more local to the Colonia Bubble in order to accumulate a lot more credits, with a mind to buy an Anaconda. As to why this might not be a great idea, well, a big foot-stomper would be that very obviously missing shiny rated modules. The second might be that I've barely even broken in my Python. But here's the thing: there is a pretty solid list of modules I want to travel with, and not even the python can carry them all. And not all of them have to be the biggest class or highest rated. But I need them on my ship, just the same. The third reason I could probably pick better ideas is that this ship is just big. I can't land on medium pads like I can the Python. But, there's simply some combinations that can exist on the Anaconda that can't on my smaller ships. My fourth reason is that I've taken a liking to the Defender. There's no rush. Well, except what I put on myself.Now, I generally fly on the legal side of things, but accidents happen and once in a long while I might accidently clip a friendly if I find myself stuck in a catfight-not-of-my-own-making. It's always been minor and I quickly pay my debts and am on my merry. Lately I've been interdicted by Authority ships. A LOT. That has never happened before, what are these authorities-types drinking? Yet, I've been pulled out no less than five times, with nothing found by the authorities (naturally). I admit to getting a bit addlepated as to why this is happening, but I'll be damned if I can figure out whose yard I pissed on to draw this attention. I suppose I could evade them easy enough, but what if that actually makes it worse? It's not much more than an annoyance now, and I don't need it to escalate, but I'd like to see it stop altogether. I guess we'll see what transpires over the next couple of days.
Maybe it's time I switched gears for a spell and tried my hand at some actual bounty hunting. I can hold my own in a gank fight, generally speaking, but I could do with a bit more experience in that arena. Especially if it's about to get dark around here. Things aren't looking to simmer down back in the Core Systems, and all that is starting to damage my calm. In the past, I've always been one to avoid a fight if I can help it, but leave you with a mess to clean up if I can't.
