Halfway Home, And Can't Wait!

So, here I stand, staring out the window of my accommodations at Sacaqawea Space Port. I'm at the mid-point on my trip home to Colonia Dream. I'm even more anxious to get home, but I know I'll need to force myself to detail-scan a few systems along the way. But, I gotta be honest, the pull to coast through the mail slot of my home port is really strong. My fleet is there...well, minus the Eagle and the Hauler that I intentionally left behind in the Core Systems and the Chieftain I'm going to have transferred from Jameson Memorial. That's gonna be a pain, waiting three days for that and the insane amount of cashy money I'm gonna have to shell out to do it. As I gawk at the layout of the port below my room, I'm going through my head what other plans I have once I get home. For sure, I'll have to refresh the paint job on The Ceti Azeria. When on long hauls, I travel with shields deactivated until I'm jumping into a system I'm gonna land in, so space dust and micro-meteorites hit my hull like a sandblaster to the side of a barn. Some say it adds "character". Well, I like my "character" to be pretty. Next up, I'm going to go shopping for a Krait. Some commanders have said it would be a worthy replacement for my Python, but I'll have to see that for myself. I'm very particular as to the module loadout I like to have on my ships, and there are some combinations I simply won't compromise on. We'll just have to see if the Krait can meet those expectations. Anyway, after that, I'll be looking at seeing how many of my engineered blueprints I can apply to my to my fleet. It's a damn shame we don't have any original-source engineers out in Colonia. With remote engineering you don't get the experimental features as an option.
But where to go after that? The options are literally endless. There are some obvious choices, ones that most commanders do at some point in their lives. But I tend to be that "road less travelled" guy. Well, I've got time to ponder it. I'll be firing up my ship here shortly, and I'll be on my merry.
