Pretty Glorious, Actually, This War.

Shortly after setting up a flat at Janes Horizons, the new home of my beloved Silverbacks, I learned that we were going to war with another faction--one that had previously attained power in the system, but who had a decided "corporate" approach to system leadership. A leadership style citizens weren't all that keen to follow. Enter The Silverbacks. With a decidedly democratic world-view, it shouldn't have been surprising that citizens (and our own wing) had quickly developed a liking to our approach. So, the inevitable happened. I had the distinct pleasure of winging up with some of my brothers to start repelling the OEC. I make no pretense that my little Cobra is anything more than a Sidewinder on steroids, even modestly engineered. And I'd be lying if I didn't admit I got sent to the re-buy lot a couple of times during the battles. But working with skilled commanders, defeating wave after wave of Vipers, Gunships, Dropships and, yes, even capital ships was a downright glorious thing! I'm expecting that we will win this thing pretty handily.
