Everyone Forgets the Guardian Ruins Halfway To Colonia

The Guardians did venture quite a ways out from the core systems. There are quite a number of ruins halfway between the Bubble and Colonia. While nobody has found full-on structures, like the ones where you can acquire various blueprint fragments, you can find plenty of artifacts and remarkable numbers of obelisks to scan for data. 
I approached the first of two ruins in the Prai Hypoo QC-C d31 system--both sets were close enough together on one moon to not even require me to go sub-orbital. Looking at this thing, you can't help but get that Roman Colosseum vibe. I cruised slowly around it to get the layout in my head. I planted the ship close to the ruins and began final measurements.
I worked my way from outer-most structures to the center. So much has decayed at these sites, but it's really perplexing as to why certain structures held up for so long while most of the sites are not much more than rubble. As I climbed over the ridge of the main rings, I tried to imagine what the purpose of these sites was.
I grabbed the last bit of obelisk data and returned to the ship. Scanners had picked up a biological site nearby, so I was now off to check it out. A new find for me, I landed in a patch of bark mounds. I collected quite of bit of the more rare raw materials, maxing out my hold in a couple of instances. It's clear to me that biological sites are FAR more plentiful in the harder to find materials than the geologic
So, I'm half-way home. Should I go visit the two other Guardian systems that are neary by? Or call it good and make that final push home? Hmmm.
