Fleet Carriers.....BAH!

I've been following the waves going on about fleet carriers, and I'm underwhelmed. Seriously, you might as well sign up to manage a space station. Who in their right mind...?When I get home from exploration or mining or bounty hunting the absolute last thing I want to be doing is managing commodity inventories, figuring out pricing, managing personnel, grinding out materials just to keep a station...er, carrier...operational. Why in three hells would someone want to do that? Inexplicably, there will be some.
Not this kid.
I think it's a joke to call these personal fleet carriers. Let's face it, these are just scaled down versions of Jaques Station. Now, something I might be interested in would be some sort of mini-carrier. You know, a large ship meant to ferry small fleets around. I'd be interested in something like this:
- A mini-megaship with 5 pads: 1 large, 2 medium, 2 small. This would allow you to grab a subset of your own fleet for major mission effort without having to swap out modules to fit a specific mission requirement at a given location (e.g., Thargoid hunting).
- NO COMMODITY MARKET, no Interstellar Factors, etc. Maybe include stellar cartography, but it's not a showstopper.
- The only Shipyard would be for your maximum of 5 stored ships.
- Outfitting and LIMITED module storage.
- Remote engineering.
- Same jump range as the FC, but a charge/cooldown of 30min.
- Price tag of 2 billion, plus various upkeep and enhancements.
Now, that's something I could get behind. No other purpose than to carry my fleet.
