Nearly Done With Aisling Duvall...and Other Adventures

I really don't like the superpowers. I half-heartedly pledge to Aisling Duvall for one reason. Three and a half annoying weeks later and I've almost earned the privilege to purchase Prismatic Shields from her little empire. Once I've had my fill I'm ditching that girl as quick as I can. Then I'll focus on prepping most of the Prismatics for shipment back to Colonia. Obviously, I'll install a few in my Arexe mini-fleet. But the rest are bound for Bisley Landing in Benzaiten.Oh, and I hit my personal best last night. I crossed over--however briefly it will be--the 2 billion credit threshold. I'm going to eat into a lot of that buy Prismatics and shipping them, but, still...
Part of what helped me cross that line was my weekend trek to Celaeno to hunt bugs with a number of my fellow Silverbacks. My Krait certainly did take a beating, but it was worth it to also be able to take one of our junior members out on his first bughunt.
He did a decent job and kept his cool. He got Thargoid snot on his hull, which I was more than obliged to send a couple of decon limpets his way.
A couple of days later I was running some covert missions and jumped into a system that had a prison ship.
The name of the place was, believe it or not, Alcatraz. It was orbiting a planet so close to its primary that you could scoop fuel. It was so hot that I blew through my supply of heat sinks and had to synthesize more. Just when I'd decided I'd had enough of the heat a bunch of pirates jumped in and started attacking the prison barge!! The spectacle was so unbelievable that I sat their watching until, without any provocation on my part, the pirates started shooting at me! Needless to say, I beat a hasty c'ya.
I plan on going out for a final bughunt right before I get the message notifying me that I'm cleared to buy up some Prismatics. Then I'll prep my Arexe fleet for extended storage and my Orca for the trip home to Colonia. I postponed that trip nearly 4 weeks ago to get these damnable Prismatics. I can't wait any longer.
