Home Again, Naturally.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. I love my stars. I finally limped my new Challenger into the Colonia region and parked it at Jaques Station. I sold my roughly 12mil credits worth of cartographic data there, rather than give those damned communists in Bisley Landing any satisfaction. I hate the ICU. They're nothing short of the rapists of the region, a product of excessive inbreeding. But I digress.Shooting halfway across the galaxy doesn't leave a brand new ship in the prettiest of shape. I hadn't even bothered to name her yet, much less register her--if I'd made a fatal mistake, insurance would have laughed me out of the virtual office. I took advantage of being at Jaques to give it a proper re-paint and upgrades. She came to the region a beat-up, nameless generic ship and headed out to visit our engineers as The Ceti Fokse:
While at Jaques I also initiated the costly transfer of the Alliance Crusader I had purchased while back in the bubble. Since some other idiot faction decided to take over Carcosa and flip it from an Anarchy state, a number of ships are no longer available. Man, I'd love to take their leadership by the throat and put them out of our misery. Shortsighted ignorant simpletons, the whole lot of them.
Anyway, that ship should arrive at Jaques a few days from now, and then I can start working on it. Redundant capability, I know, but better to have it and not need it than...well, you know. Now I need to put this Challenger through some paces to see if it's every bit the replacement for my Gunship that I suspect it might be.
Stay tuned, sports fans! Cmdr Scubadog, signing off.
