Merry Christmas from the Colonia region

Well, it's Christmas again. I was feeling a bit in a funk, and also nostalgic, so I decided to throw a handful of lights on the old Ceti Fox and take her out to a somewhat new place. It has been that long since the White Sun system was settled and officially designated, and I hadn't made it out there yet from my home in the Benzaiten system. I found a moon with some surprisingly dramatic canyons and decided to check it out. As the primary star was setting I decided it was time to settle in for the proverbial "long winter's nap". I don't often take the DBX out--she faithfully got me out here to the Colonia region...what? Five years ago, now?...and after repairing all the damage I put her through on the trip and doing some upgrades I pretty much garaged her. I have a huge fleet these days, and plenty of other ships I have a lot less personal feelings about. I just don't want to take the chance on replacing The Ceti Fox. She's the original, and I'd like to keep it that way.
But there was just something in me that wanted to spend this Christmas in this ship. So, here I am. Frost is building up on the windows...that creates a nice effect when the Christmas lights are blinking. So, I'll finish my late dinner and head back to my stateroom and snuggle up to get some sleep. I'm still feeling a little blue...but all is well.
