AMF'S INTEREST IN THE ECONOMIC SHIFT OF CARNS(11 JUL 3301)
The AMF has stated interest in joining the Carns Imperial Society's bid to shift its base economy with high-tech commodities. Although investing will certainly yield net losses for the company, it sees Carns as a potential canditate for a system with a better selection of ship equipment in Princess Aisling Duval's territory.
Aside from Chona (a northern high-tech system for Aisling's Angels), ships within Princess Duval's territory are forced to either travel to the other side of her borders or in Senator Torval's controlled space, both of which would take 70-100+ lightyears of travel. The AMF does not also prefer traveling into the latter's territory, reasons of which that both political figures aren't in the best of terms, something the merchant fleet would like to avoid.
While business talks are in the making, delivery of any shipment of robotics to Carns will not start until it is assured of one thing - the inclusion of a wider variety of ship parts in the future. In the meantime, the fleet will continue to acquire ship parts and modules in Chona, as it is mostly occupied providing services in the northern part of the princess's controlled space.
