Entry 1 - MAY 29 3301

Status Update [1] (29 MAY 3301): I've had about a week-long hiatus from piloting as an independent federal agent, sorting out personal problems and just plain getting entertained. Moving on to important matters, I just read on the news that President Hasley has gone missing after having some "accident" during FSD travel.Status Update [2] (29 MAY 3301): Some dumbass ship pilot just had the station's guns pointed at him and got roasted. I had to move the ship elevator underground or I might've been gotten caught in the crossfire.
Status Update [3] (29 MAY 3301): Got thirsty and decided to get a couple of bottled iced teas while writing log #1. Roamed around MRV Unyielding Lazarus for those. Maybe I should also change the ship's name and make it shorter? Probably just rename it to MRV Lazarus. I don't know.
Status Update [4] (29 MAY 3301): Getting sleepy and exhausted. I think I'll retire to the ship's quarters; this thing's on lockdown anyway.

Pilot Journal Entry #1 (29 MAY 3301):
[1] I might as well start writing these journals, who knows what might happen when things turn out for the worst? I might even be able to find some clues in one of these logs in the future.
[2] Everybody has their heads up their asses with fingers pointed at each other regarding President Halsey and Starship One - it could've been foul play. Shadow President Hudson seems to be the leading person who thinks it had been assassination and sabotage; every goddamn person part of the crew is highly trained, and does military protocol all the time. An accident cannot happen by any means necessary, especially when you have a VIP around. [3]
---
I'm leaning towards Hudson's point - this is mostly foul play and we need determine the exact problem asap. Still, my main concern is more of who exactly did it, although "who" on a much bigger scale; I doubt even the Empire would do something like this right now.
Remember the Thargoids? Back then, they had the ability to take you out of hyperdrive and bring you back to their witchspace. Thargoid motherships would finish you off while the drones just dodged all the weaponry you fed them. Few to none ever survived Thargoid encounters, and they were stuff of the legends.
This is quite possibly the fate of the President, maybe the Thargoids wanted to clone her for something? I don't know. The humans already made peace with these insectoids when one of the Alliance people sent in a vaccine for the alien race. Maybe this is a splinter faction? Too many potential answers.
In time, I'm pretty sure they will come. If worse comes to worst, it'll be another all-out war like it was back then.
I've already stored this log (and will continue storing the next ones) to my Pilot's Federation info, so they can at least hypothesize what might have happened in case I've suddenly gone AWOL. Godspeed. [4]
