Now being back in the bubble, this phase involved:

The remaining 2,851,788,691 credits of exploration data needed to be sold from the phases covering +650 hours of exploration.

In addition to that, there was also the data gathered from the 2 logbooks prior to Phase 1 starting in the Eagle Nebula.

A variety of ships from the fleet were used to sell the data.

A ship kit was added on my Beluga Liner - Viatorbus Navis and a new image taken for the INARA fleet page.

Due to the points above and as most of the systems near Shinrarta Dezhra had already been explored, there wasn't the usual focus on distance / scans / mapping. Instead, the totals in those regards are shown only in the 'Progress stats' section.

Before starting, analysis was done for Phase 15 to find factions and my reputation with them for who to sell the exploration data to. The nearest 1,000 stations were compared around Shinrarta Dezhra. I'll give a high level overview in case you want to do something similar. If so, I've included the spreadsheet for you, after the explanation o7,

Preparation to do that:

EDDB was used to search and copy 20 pages of stations into a spreadsheet.

The spreadsheet was used to link back to EDDB for each system where every faction was manually added.

A formula was used to turn the factions into a Hyperlink for EDSM - where each faction was checked to find my rep status.

A column was added to show how many of each faction there were, they were sorted by distance in LS and allied systems were hidden with a filter.

Scoping out which stations to visit:

The sheet was copied and the furthest away stations were manually removed to leave the nearest place (in LS) for every faction.

From the results, I found out I was already Allied with 162 stations, Friendly with 18, Cordial with 155, Neutral with 315 and no contact with 350 (or, since using EDDN 27th August 2016).

This left 234 stations to visit to cover every faction within a thousand LY of Shinrarta Dezhra

Scoping out how many will be needed:

On the basis that previously getting allied with the factions of Colonia in Phase 13, took 629,402,996 credits exploration data for 40 factions, that worked out at 15,735,075 credits per faction.

As I showed in Phase 11, it can be done with even less when I became allied with a faction for only 5,616,318 credits at the core.

***Basically, the higher the value of your systems, the less rep it gives for total value***.

So, a more conservative estimate than Colonia was used for the analysis, of 13m credits per faction which won't be too far off.

That means with the remaining exploration value from all phases of 2,851,788,691 credits approx 219 factions need to be visited.

To summarise, approx 219 factions will need to visited, the spreadsheet contains 234 places and those will be mostly visited in order of nearest distance to their main star.

Note - as BGS changes happen, you will obviously need to swap some factions if you want every one covered. In that case, just adjust the faction in the 2nd sheet then copy / delete from the first sheet so it's all in line

The totals columns make it easy to cross-reference that everything's covered o7.

Lastly, if you want to import the results to INARA, copy the formula from the right cell in sheet 1 to here and it will build an INARA table automatically.

This phase has taken 57 hours effort since the Phase 14 update.

As mentioned above, an objective was to add a kit to my Beluga to match the fleet (all my ships have Gold paint and kits). A course was set to VISTAENIS to take an image for the fleet page. After taking some images at Naburmannu Ring, it was time to head back. Here was one of the images showing the ship at the station:

The ship for the first day of selling data was my courier, a multipurpose racer with a boost speed of 851 m/s. It was used to take advantage of medium landing pads and have much faster speed with docking at planetary settlements.

As you'll see below, a few different methods were used... Some segments were medium pads, some large, some filtered by LY, some by LS etc. Also, as I worked through, I found various factions had changed since I first made the spreadsheet in Phase 14. It took quite a while to make adjustments and ensure there was full coverage - which continued throughout the phase due to BGS changes.

To cover the remaining medium pads (and some large from the same systems) under 30 LY, the Type 6 exploration vessel Indagator was used on the next day. The ship has 47.17 LY range and a boost speed of 535 m/s:

All of the remaining stations with medium landing pads and under 30 LY were then allied. For the next stage, the fastest exploration ship - Atavus was flown to press on with the large landing pads. The Cobra Mk III has 44.08LY range and a very fast boost of 612 m/s. So not a bad speed for an exploration ship!

When the day was done, Atavus was brought back to Shinrarta Dezhra for another ship to cover tomorrow's stations.

As there were only 10 systems with large landing pad stations under 30LY left, my favourite ship was used which has fast engines although it doesn't have a great jump range. The ship is my Cutter Constantinople, which has a 34.78LY jump range and 481m/s boost speed.

All controlling factions in the range of 30 LY from Shinrarta Dezhra were then all allied except one faction, which lost its station with a large pad but still had some mediums, so the faction was left for later.

The total amounts at that point were:

Next on the agenda were the large pads 30 / 40LY. The 3rd fastest exploration ship of the fleet was used. The Krait Phantom Adastra has a 60 LY jump range and boost speed of 513 m/s.

After those were done, the progress (since the last stats) was half way through with 51 done / 51 left. Since then also, 8 medium pad outposts were also ticked off - leaving 40.

Adastra was still used as it was convenient being a medium ship, so I could cover any medium stations in the same system as large stations, saving time for the medium pads segment at the end.

The next parts of the phase were done by Indeprensus - a low heat output exploration vessel. The ship has 53.2 LY range, 434 m/s boost and 12% heat output.

The first outposts were visited in order of how many places their factions occupied to ensure the most locations were covered in case the data ran out.

With the final one done, that was the nearest 1,000 nearest stations / planetary settlements / outposts to Shinrarta Dezhra all officially allied.

There was still exploration data left so I manually went through the remaining cartographic pages and found the exact amounts. It was more than I expected, with 620,307,403 credits and 825 systems left to hand in.

Some more calculations were done, then I took my time to ponder the results and consider what I should do overnight.

I worked out that I could get allied with another 47 factions. Initially, that was the first choice, to add more stations and factions but seeing as I'd covered a nice round number of a thousand stations already, I decided against it.

Instead, I took my Hauler Comitatum (the smallest exploration ship and the second ship I ever owned) over to the Mobius home system Azrael to hand in the last of the data.

After arriving back at Jameson Memorial in Shinrarta Dezhra, Phase 15 was complete with the 1,000 nearest stations to Shinrarta Dezhra allied, 15b credits and the Phase 1 objective achieved for the INARA Award of 'The Explorer' Level 3:

Phase 16 will be to head to Hutton Orbital to unlock an EDSM badge. I've actually already been there once or twice but it's not recorded on EDDN (as that was in the years before linking my account to the API).
The prerequisites for the main objective will involve adjusting Viatorem and gathering materials for the Colonia engineers.
After that, a return journey will be done to Colonia using Neutron jumps for the first time!
