The start of a new adventure

The two things that I find always hold true for me are as follows:
  1. When I'm out on an expedition, I'm always planning for the next one
  2. As soon as I return back to the Bubble, then I start itching to get back out into the Black!
Lost Souls 3 was no exception. I had never been out in the Black supported by Fleet Carriers before, always preferring the risk of going solo and travelling upwards of 50kly between each dock. But on Lost Souls 3, this all changed. I had with me a fleet of exploration ships, each with a different role and serving a different purpose. The flexibility it offered was a revelation, and I quickly decided that I wanted my own Fleet Carrier to support me on my subsequent expeditions.

The other thing that changed for me was that much of my exploration to date had been travelling to the extremes of the galaxy, sight-seeing along the way at POIs that other explorers had discovered. I've discovered and explored thousands of systems, but I haven't discovered anything that I would consider worthy of sharing. I'd considered mapping an entire sector before, but the logistics were just too daunting. Owning a Fleet Carrier would completely change that; I could park my carrier in a central system, using it as a base of operations to map an entire sector and hopefully make some discoveries worthy of sharing.

As soon as I returned to the Bubble from Lost Souls 3, I built up my funds, and eventually commissioned TFCS The Great A'Tuin:

She's been kitted out to support my exploration adventure, and once fully-fueled, she'll be jumping on her maiden journey to the Pha Free sector.
