Mission and Personal Entry
Location: Synuefe ZR-I B43-10 - D2

After giving the crew a 16 hour rest and recovery period, we completed two sites and stored the data. Our last location we completed the second site on the planet, and now we are in the Synuefe ZR-I B43-10 system on Planet D2. We completed the data at the coordinates 28.7798, -51.8903. There are two more sites on this planet to complete, however the crew and I are exhausted. We will continue our research tomorrow.

I've gone over the entire mission, and from what I can tell, we only have three planets left to complete, and a total of eight sites. We have obtained some rather valuable data, ranging from the history of the Ancients, their biology makeup, technology information, and their culture. I'm fairly certain that after we finish this mission, my intentions of entering an entry regarding the Ancients will be without a doubt a pivotal piece of valuable information.

As with the other planets, the ambient sounds of the Obelisks echos in the air and reverberates off the Aurora Sagittarius's hull. While it's not a continuous group of sounds, our linguistics officer has determined that these are the methods in which they communicated, and in a very efficient way. Unlike the way humans hear, these audible clicks and sounds not only were the way they communicated with one another, but also the way they transferred data. What's even more impressive is that while the Ancients no longer exist at this time, somehow the chatter from when they did still reverberates throughout the planets we have visited. It's almost haunting. Back on Earth, we would call these voices from the grave. One of my science officers has speculated that perhaps these sounds could be a beacon, or even a warning.

While both my First Officer Trysha and I share in the belief that these may be just that, the question still remains, how were the Ancients capable of doing this.
Could there be something with the planets that they knew about, which they have somehow harnessed to allow such sounds to reverberate through time? How long has this been going on, and the even bigger question, if it's a beacon, and a beacon to serve as a warning, what are they warning of?

While these theories are just that, we won't know more until we are able to compile all of the information together as a whole to come up with some answers.

For now, I am going to turn in. Tomorrow is yet another day of discovery and hopefully we will find the answers to our burning questions about the Ancients.
