Per our last research facility visit, it appears that the Junior Scientist's information was correct.  The data we retrieved here has definitely put a spin on what INRA really is, and it's true purpose.

We listened in shock while a man discussed the usage of a material called Mycoid, which is in essence, a fungus, and how it effects the Thargoid ship and creature they had here.  Klatt Enterprises is nothing more than a test bed for the new Mycoid material, and was tested on a captured Thargoid ship, and captured Thargoid.

The man who recorded the entries explained that the Mycoid would actually incapacitate the Thargoids in a matter of moments, but one noted side effect is that it caused them considerable amounts of pain.  Evidence of these experiments were seen first hand on a platform that had robotic arms that hung over a pit like area with warning signs reading, "Danger: Mycoid Material".  What's even worse is that I personally saw remains of either a Thargoid ship, or Thargoid in this area that was used for testing from the glass of my Scarab.

The man in the audio recordings said that this Mycoid needed a method of deployment that could once and for all end the war.  From my teachings of history, I can only presume that he was referring to the First Contact and Conflict around the 29th century.  I remember watching the unfocused video of the ship, and the word "Tharg" that was painted on it's hull.  Mysteriously they disappeared without a trace, just as fast as they appeared.

What disturbs me even more is that fact that this man expressed a certain satisfaction in causing harm to the Thargoid they had held captive, and said that they should use this weapon to eliminate them.

Our history certain has proven that over time, humans tend to attack what they don't understand, and I feel that this is yet again, another example of human history repeating itself.  Today we have the Thargoid Threat, and one has to wonder if none of the pilots opened fire on them, would the Thargoids be hostile to us.  Would we have had those six stations attacked, and would so many lives been needlessly lost?  These are the questions that drive the true Explorer, and one who would prefer peace rather than an all out war.

In my personal opinion, the man in the audio recordings is absolutely insane.  But that's just my personal opinion.  We move on to HIP 59382 1B, where Mayes Chemical Plant should hold more answers.  As I said in the previous entry, this keeps getting stranger at each visit.
