First off, Happy New Year to all...
From what I have listened to, Carmichael Point was a staging ground to test the weapons on the Thargoids. This facility was made to look like a military outpost, so that the Thargoids would take the bait, and attack it, allowing the testing of the prototype weapons.
Apparently they took the bait, but the crew here did not expect what came looking. From the audio records it was a Thargoid Mother ship of an unseen and unidentified type. From the audio, it sounds like they hit it with whatever weapon that has been engineered.
According to the last entry, the workers, everything, was destoyred.
Perhaps we will find out more at the next stop. For now I am going to call it a night. We will resume the last 2 sites tomorrow.
