We have landed here on HIP 12099 1A, with a bit of difficulty. From this planet's composition, the entire atmosphere is clouded, making the site we found very difficult to spot. If we didn't have the coordinates, I'm sure this place would remain a mystery and never be found.
It appears that this was a testing facility and that live specimens of Thargoids were tested. There is yet another Mycoid chamber like the last one we saw, only a little more robust. Again the same fragments of either a Thargoid ship or Thargoid were left, and the remains are horrifying. The audio logs we pulled stated that this new containment area was built more robust, and that they observed that the Thargoids, while even at a poor health state, have an incredible strength. Several lives had been lost due to poor planning of containment. As I listened further, the third audio log had sounds of the Thargoid in the background. It sounded in pain, and the man recording the audio log stated that the torture concepts that were taking place here reminded him of pulling legs off of spiders when he was a child.
What the hell has been going on here? Why were they torturing these beings, and for what reason? To stop the war? This goes beyond all moral and ethical fibers in my being.
As noted earlier in some of my previous entries on this exploration, the area is resilient with sounds. I wouldn't be surprised if there is still a Thargoid here.
What condition the creature is in is beyond my concern at this time, as it may have been a survivor of the torture methods used here, and I certainly don't want the crew of the Baba Yaga to be it's next target. We're leaving here immediately and will head to the last site. More on what we find when we arrive.
