17 Feb 2018Orion Starhunter
Location: Eagles Landing
System: Eagle Sector IR-W d1-117

We arrived at Eagles Landing about 5 minutes ago, locking everything down for the night.

The exploration bug struck me once more, so I decided this time we would take the whole way out to Colonia since we haven't been there yet.
On our last attempt, we made it as far as we are now before turning around and heading home. Per an old friend and fellow commander, we took a bit of a detour
to get here, stopping at "Black Treasure", a black hole in the Omega Nebula. Quite the site. I posted a few photos of the nebula with the black hole.

Tomorrow marks a new day as we continue our journey onward to Colonia. We are currently 7,000ly out from Jameson Memorial, which we are now calling home.
The crew seems to be in excellent spirits, and the food is great as well. (Learned my lesson from the last flights that were a distance, this time packed the good stuff! No more MRE's.)

I'm going to walk the ship and inspect her to see if any repairs are needed, and then I am going to turn in.
