TABALDAK INCIDENT REPORT - AGENT BENIN
During the transfer of prisoners an argument broke out among the final group to board the Honorable Mention. In the confusion an explosive device, based on available forensics, to be a subcutaneous implant was activated. The explosion caused a chain reaction of similar devices previously implanted in the other prisoners already on board. The resulting explosion was estimated to be within a yield of 840 megajoules. The ship suffered considerable damage, and was scrapped. It was estimated that some 400 prisoners were lost in the explosion.
Upon arrival of medical staff to the scene, Benin received first aid and rushed to nearest medical facility for treatment. Medical reports indicated that Benin was treated for severe burns, broken ribs, lacerations to the face and arms and shrapnel. From Benin’s biopsy it would seem that he was somewhat shielded from the blast by the ship’s internal superstructure.
It is the opinion of the IISS that this incident was a plot by Emperor's Dawn to further disrupt Imperial affairs within the region and aimed to discredit Denton Patreus further and his involvement with the entire affair.
