Well, I finally did it.

Took me years to do it. It's always been a bucket list thing: to gaze upon the center of the galaxy! Well. I'm here. And it was quite the journey getting here too. Lots of systems scans and planetary body scans. There are always a few unforeseen hazards, and I did take a little hull damage, but I am rather pleased to still be at 95% after a journey across half the galaxy. Now I just need to get back... I feel like that one time back on Nanomam 1 when I went backpacking up into the Nurali mountains. The sense of awe and adventure were inspiring, right up to the moment I decided to turn back. Then it suddenly dawned on me how far out I was, and how difficult it was going to be to get back, and not least how hosed I would be if I made a mistake out in the wilderness. But that will have to wait until tomorrow. For now, I'm going to get some rest and enjoy how the light bends around our resident Supermassive Black Hole.Next stop... Colonia.
