An Ode to DWE2 - Prologue

After returning from my last exploration trip, I did increase my reputation with Felicity Farseer and unlocked Grade 5 engineering with her. After that I've just pottered around the bubble trading and bounty hunting, and took part in the New Year's Initiative which netted me a stack of credits.But the black has been calling ever since I returned, so I decided that I will unlocked the Guardian FSD Booster before heading out again. I now have one fitted to Thunder's Truck, my trusty Asp Explorer, and am also going to do some light engineering to her, which will increase my jump range to over 60LY. I could increase that even further, but the call to explore again is too strong.
My initial plan was to head out to Colonia, Sag A and maybe even Beagle Point, but have decided to follow the same route the Distant Worlds 2 Expedition followed, which is basically the route I want to take anyway. Leg 1 has already been planned (WP 1-2 of DWE2). Of course, as happened with the previous expedition where I only aimed for the Horsehead Nebula, and ended up visiting quite a few more, I may divert/extend or otherwise reroute. Can't say for sure until I am out there.
