Helping others help themselves

Decided to pitch in and help my old employer jump-start the outfitting of an extraction base near Te Kaha. Getting that station up to Orbis status would help growth of the terraforming systems out there, and anything that expands humanity's borders can't be that bad. (For us, anyway.) Getting there was the hard part. Also, I decided to get there in a T7 without bothering to check if I could land it. So I had to do the megaloop of shame back to Delkar, pick up the Python, and take that back out to Stepping Stone.
The mining site's pretty far out of the way - 44Ly, give or take - so I have to be careful about my fuel while puttering about hunting for osmium. 66 tons on the first run, didn't take enough limpets with me. Will remedy that next time.
It's a long way to go to Orbis. But it's good money, and it's out of the way, so what the hell. Just have to get used to sleeping in the ship since docking space is at a premium. They let me tuck away in a work dock.
The further away you get from civilization, the better the folks seem to be. -Sid
