LONG RANGE STARPORT OPERATIONS: I don't even know where to start here. First off, our T9 pilot accidentally sold our T9. While I'm aware that the "sell ship" button is right next to the "OMG I want to climb in the ship" button, it still takes a pretty vapid individual to actually manage to sell off a ship by accident. Did NOT feel like taking an Adder to Town (you call it the Bubble, I call it Town) to get a new T9, mostly because I didn't want to fly the damned thing back. Told the T9 pilot to go get another one, and made the "mistake" of telling him to get a freighter with more maneuverability and less chance of being shot down by a freakin' Viper. So the T9 pilot came back with a damned Anaconda. Almost made him take it back, until I realized the 'Conda carries the same load with 33% greater individual jump range, twice the armor, almost three times the shielding, and a weapons complement that didn't A) suck and B) require head-on charging attackers to use properly. Promoted T9 pilot to Fleet Manager and fired the previous FM - I'd much rather have a person who's thinking of our pilots' safety instead of just the bottom line.LONG RANGE OUTPOST OPERATIONS: Did not run yesterday because of the snafu with LRSO.
MINING INITIATIVE: Pulled 96 tons of various high-value ores from HIP 11879. Attempted to survey immediate area surrounding Sothis for more/better extraction sites with no luck. Just as well, since HIP 11879 seems to be on the outer edge of Alpha 1-1's single-jump operating range.
This week: Try and fail to find a ship painter who can do a Tactical Ice 'job on an Anaconda. (OOC: What the HELL, man?! Is it me, or does it seem like a really stupid idea to keep releasing ships without alternative paint jobs? And the 'Conda? Why does this not have more paintjobs?! Let's go, Frontier, off those asses and paint my ride already!)
