The crossroads

30 Oct 2020Aequfire
Hey Mom,

Well, I have reached somewhat of a crossroads. The deteriorating conditions back home are starting to get me worried. I have a lot of friends and fellow pilots back there that could use my help should things go south and I honestly don't see them going any other direction. However, I have committed to this exploration trip and I need to see it through. Hopefully the shooting war will wait until I get back but if not I may have to revise my plans. The question right now is what direction do we go next.

Sally and I found a DSSA carrier out near this pulsar I wanted to check out and we are sitting here in their lounge trying to figure out where to go next. I am torn, do we want to continue up the Circinus Transit before making our way over to the galactic center or should we take a more direct route that will bring us past the Singularities playground. Four black holes and a neutron star in one place seems to good to pass up but it also has been far more travelled so less new things to discover.

We have seen some really beautiful sites the past couple of weeks and I have to admit I am reluctant to head back in. I am just not ready to turn around quite yet. It just figures that the Feds and Imps would decide right now is the time they want to rattle their swords but this is also not my fight. My friends have enough sense to keep their heads down, I know a couple that have decided to clear out of dodge so perhaps this is the best course of action. I am sure if the adults in the room lose control of the situation, their will be plenty to do when I get back.

So I guess it is decided, we push on farther for now and when we have gotten our fill, we will head over to see you. Until then, take care of Dad and don't worry too much about us. We are fine and having a grand time.

Love,

Jake
