Hard work never hurt ...

Got a tip from a fellow CMDR that the Empire were looking for pilots to (how did he put it?) "run a few errands" for them. Not brilliant money, but the kind that would build your reputation and standing. Which is no bad thing, as an Outsider I'm sneered at by Imperial types, they don't give you jobs, you can't buy their ships no matter how much money you have, it's a struggle to get them to refuel you, to be honest!Well, I headed over, and true enough it was far from lucrative - in fact, by helping out a couple of Imperial factions who were in a bad way I ended up losing money - but ... it's true, this rank thing, it really matters to the Imperials.
Allied to half a dozen Imperial factions, bestowed the title of Lord, access to Imperial shipyards that stock Couriers - and, if I can find the right official and present my bona fides I shall be a Baron and be able to get myself a Clipper. (Once I can afford it!) What a ship that is - a real beauty.
It took a while, but I managed to find a deep-space radio station broadcasting some crazy talk show so I just kept shuttling data around and laughed at the crazy ... erm ... I think they called themselves Truckers, whatever that means ... and barely noticed the time flying by.
Now to start saving for that Clipper ...
