LOG: Astounding darkness. I'm sitting on the dark side of Salomé's Reach, and I don't know how to describe the things I'm feeling, but they are profound. The sky is completely empty, and the blackness is oppressive, like at any moment it could just reach out to surround you with with inky tendrils and erase you from existence.
I haven't been afraid of the dark since I was a kid, but I'm considering moving the ship before I bunk down after I record this log. The view from the light side is spectacular, though. I'm going to try to think about that when I hit the rack, to take my mind of the darkness.
I wonder if we'll ever find anywhere farther out than this. If we do, I might have to come back out to visit it.
