The next big thing

While I am out scanning my 750th planet deep into the void I find myself thinking. I am thinking about buying another ship. Currently I am torn between several, a Sidewinder, Viper or a Federal Dropship. The Sidewinder is a cheap little ship to have. Great little run-around that you don't mind if it gets scratched up. Heck I can build a pretty much 'A' rated ship for not much more than a million credits.
Having a Viper as anything other than a combat vessel is silly, in my opinion. Considering I have a Python (Moritus Rising) as my powerful combat vessel it seems unnecessary to have another. That said, unlike a Python, a Viper is cheap to replace - costing a little under 5 million credits (half of that would be the 2A FSD interdictor - the insurance would be around 200 thousand credits.
Lastly the Dropship, really not sure on this one, expensive to buy, even more expensive to make it in to something useful. Especially when there is so much I want to add to Moritus Rising.
Which brings me onto the last thought, upgrading Moritus Rising. She only has a 6B shield generator, 6C thrusters, 7C power distributor and 6E sensors. I have added to her 3 shield boosters which help a little with the shields. I am already running her hot with the power plant. 105% output when I deploy weapons. So I think that will have to be the first upgrade, followed by the thrusters and then the power distributor. Sensors will be later and shields, which are already 6B's - heavy but well armored - could only go up one level to 6A. Not to mention I need to get a frame shift wake scanner and a FSD interdictor.
