Battle in Maausk

It has been an interesting couple of days. Near to where my new home is in Azrael the Empire has been after a group called 'Emperor's Dawn'. This has lead to a couple of systems now offering combat bonds for the destruction of ships aligned with them. As I have said before, I am certainly not a lover of the Empire, but I need the credits and also want to improve my Pilots Federation combat rating. This offers me the opportunity to add to that with the assistance of other ships in the area. Unlike going to a resources extraction site, where you often battle alone, here you have other ships who will fight with you.
So far I have earned about 6 million credits and have am currently sitting in the top 40% of contributors. It is a somewhat appalling 500,000 CR as a reward, although we are close to the next tier.
Mortius has been a steady rock for this mission only suffering with her shields collapsing once after a particularly heavy bombardment from an Anaconda ans Python who ganged up on me. To be fair I had killed somewhere in the region of 50 of their fellows, so not too surprising they were a little aggressive. That battle cost be nearly 10k in repairs but overall it wasn't too bad (and I had built up about a million in combat bonds).
