Combat Successes, Combat Warnings

So far the battle against the Pirates in Bast has gone well. I have been making a pretty tidy sum in bounties to. Although that said I did get jumped by a couple of Anacondas.I was pulled out of supercruise and dumped into normal space. Then came a warning - 'give me all your cargo' or some such. Funny in a way, I wasn't carrying any cargo for them to have. I weighed up the odds, which weren't really in my favor. Sure Mortius has almost the best shields and 3 shield boosters but that means nothing under the fire of two 'Condas.
Still I latched onto the nearest ones power plant and started shooting. With my three large pulse lasers the shield of the 'Conda was going down quickly however so were mine. Under the sustained fire of up to 16 weapons there was no way my shields would last long. My immediate opponents shields dropped and I opened up with my medium multi-cannons while my weapon capacitor recharged. My shields finally failed but the Anaconda's power plant was almost dead, then it was. The Conda exploded showing my ship with debris and without the shields causing more hull damage that the second Conda was already causing.
The computer was rattling off warnings 'shields offline', 'hull integrity compromised' and then the one all pilots fear hearing 'canopy compromised'. The windows of my cockpit crazed as they started to fail under the weapons fire. It was then I decided to bug out, retracting weapons and pushing all power to the engines. I burned away, still too close to the Anaconda to get into frame shift it continued to pepper me with weapons fire from behind.
Suddenly everything went off, I had a serious module malfunction. Thrusters, power distributor, life support and shields (which were already off line anyway) shut down. I was on emergency life support, praise the makers of the remlock mask! My hull was only at 28% and dropping down as the computer rebooted and I pushed the afterburner.
Finally I was able to get out of weapons range and hit frameshift. At last I was out. I set course for the only station in Bast and took a moment to check my ship. Power plant was the worst module, down to only 30-odd percent and thrusters not much better. Then I checked my hull reading. 15%! I thanked the lucky stars out there for my escape.
I came into view of the station, dropped out of frameshift and requested docking. When I finally touched down I headed straight to repairs. Well lets say I didn't make that much out of that particular sortie, most of my bounty went into repairs. But I was alive and one pirate crew isn't. I may have to watch my back in this system now though.
