The fight in Bast has been profitable, despite the occasional setback. I have been patrolling the system looking for pirates while in supercruise, dropping into distress calls or looking out for odd signals. So far I have netted about two million credits for my troubles.It amazes me what some pirates deem appropriate to threaten me in. I dropped into a lower power signal source and was presented with a single Sidewinder. It then proceeded to scan me, demanding I drop what cargo i had or he would 'boil me up'. Seriously! I am in a Python, I have 3 large pulse lasers and 2 medium multi-cannons. The best he could have are a couple of small beam lasers, fixed as well. I am not sure he has done the maths but those aren't good odds in his favor! Anyway, his shields went out in about 5 seconds and his hull split about 7 seconds after that.
What I wasn't expecting were two of his mates to show up in Vipers! They either were slow getting there or are the lousiest colleagues, "Hay Fred we're here to hel... oh...". So on noticing their friend was no longer in this plane of existence the opened fire on me, suffice to say they didn't last very long!
