Setting out for Colonia

07 Oct 2021Aedan Pryde
It's time. The Grace Hopper is fully kitted out, and I'm ready to leave the Bubble behind. Going to take myself a few hundred light years above the galactic plane, point my nose toward Colonia, and see how far I can get before the space madness sets in.

Preparations ran late, which is unfortunate. Won't make it as far as I'd like tonight, but any start is a start.

I don't want to betray my inexperience, but I do find it interesting that even here, 700 ly above Delta Pavonis, I've yet to come across a single undiscovered body. Let's go a couple hundred more.

1,000 ly from Delta Pavonis. It's time to turn Coreward and start moving on Colonia. Of course, the ship computer can't plot a route the full 22,000 ly left, so Eoch Flyuae FF-J C24-236, here I come.

This system is discovered, certainly, but the bodies here have never been fully mapped. I suppose I'll take the time to do so, get a feel for the new career.
Nothing of interest, but a pleasant way to spend a few hours.

Another system unmapped, and thus a pleasant project for tomorrow. For now, CMDR Aedan Pryde, signing off.
