Making our wayAs we set off in search of Kelly Eldridge's lost green gas giant I can't help but wonder why I am heading out into the black again. Perhaps it is the draw of the deep black, the hope of finding something that no other commander has ever seen. While it is appealing, I do not think that is it. I completed the Distant Worlds 2 expedition back in 3305 and I have my name on numerous systems as a result. Whatever it is, I find myself heading a long way from home once again.
Over the next few days I will be making my way to the search area aboard the TFCS Castle Rock. She is a sturdy carrier in the hands of a skilled pilot.
On one rest stop I found these interesting spiky formations. I do not recall the name of them, or the system that I found them in. I have seen these before and believe they are quite common. I didn't originally think it notable enough to log the system. However, in hindsight, I would like to avoid making the same mistake Kelly Eldridge made. I will make a concerted effort to log systems for anything I find.
Rest Stop
We have stopped for a spell in system Thraikoo PS-U E2-4. The area is surrounded by red nebulae. I can't say that I have ever seen anything quite like it.
I also stopped to visit the DSSA Inverness carrier. This has been placed here as a waypoint for explorers as they explore the deep black.
Class i Gas Giant
Thraikoo YY-H B23-1 5
Found this nice purple gas giant. Nothing exceptional but the rings to contain a grandidierite hotspot.
