V886 Centauri: Stop over at the Blue Fox part1

It had been a long and arduous trek. Reece had secured various materials from prospect mining, including Vanadium, Phosphorus and some trace amounts of Mercury. With that he went to Deciat to meet with Felicity Farseer to get his FSD drive range extended and his thrusters suitably boosted. He went for a dirty drive set up. The results were most satisfying. His range was up to 22 Light years- as high as the pure exploration build he dabbled with last year but with this bolstered combat load out! He then went to see Lei Cheung at Laksaks system to get his shields fortified. On the Imperial Clipper design- the shield strength was always its Achilles heel- so now it was elevated to adequate. Reece focused on a system biased towards fending off thermal weapons attacks.
Reece took it into some moderately dangerous anarchic systems for a shakedown- navigation beacons and compromised navigation beacons were ideal- an pirate anarchists paradise and he took on and dispensed with some Asps, Cobras and Federal Dropships with comparative ease. All likely shady interstellar scum, addicts, assassins and galactic parasites that Reece had no issues eradicating while proving out his ship.
So now the late afternoon was turning to evening and Reece had found one of his favourite spots: A bar located on the outskirts of the main docking gangway in Tanner City on V886 Centauri called the Blue Fox.
Quite decadent in its décor with an almost Imperial feel to it, it was usually quiet, except today where the caberet band was playing. It was located one system over to Reeces home system of Shinrarta Dezhra. This allowed him some 'discretion in his proceedings' and really let his 'hair down' if necessary. He had a network of preferred bars interlaced throughout the galaxy. These were places that Reece had made contacts via networking, had people there he could trust (to a degree) and places that felt like home: so he knew where he had to go to get bits and pieces sinter-forge-fabricated, for instance, or where the local intersteller factors branch was (to cash in bounties), black market contact or other starport services- where Reece had contacts to get things done smoothly and discretely if necessary. Contacts ALWAYS helped.
Most of these places were lifestyle places- open 24/7 and folks pretty much lived here, like a casino/bar/restaurant/launderette all rolled into one. They were service depots that supported and looked after local staff as well as visitors. As a result they were usally vibrant paces if not always the safest.
By far Reeces most favoured place was a bar/casino/Inn called 'The Night Hawk' in the Artemis system on Freeholm base. It was situated within a hollowed our asteroid and quite grandiose in its décor. It looked retro and futuristic at the same time and had many mechanical inner workings and mechanical elements exposed but executed and finished to perfection to give an exquisite appearance.
It was here that Reece would do annual meet ups with his inner circle of old friends (and some 'friends' who had tagged along or latched onto someone). Reece would always look forward to catching up with his old friends and close compatriots at this incredible place every May.
