My Explorer Life

So this is it. I've decided to start keeping a log of my journey thorough the galaxy and the many wonders that I have and will see. I've been out here in the black now for about 2 years. I have seen a lot of beautiful sights and taken many shots with my camera for my album when I finally get back home. I am currently taking part in an expedition that is jutting to the other side of the galaxy to Beagle Point. You might have heard of it yourself, Distant Worlds 2? Last time I had checked when we all departed there were around 13,500 pilots taking part in this scoot across the galaxy. We are all exploring. Looking for new places and sights to see and memories being made along the way. I have met a couple of other commanders, just before launch, to join with as wing mates for the trip. The 3 of us stuck together for a little while, but 1 has gone astray and there's now only 2 of us. Fine with me. Better than taking the whole journey alone that's for sure. I spend enough time out here alone with the stars. Anyway, we are also on a mission to put together a station out by Sag A. We already mined all the materials to build the shell. We stopped at Omega Sector VE-Q B5-15 for the mining materials we needed. We are currently preparing to depart from here in a couple of days. Nothing to really do until then accept to explore, but hey, that's why we are out here anyway. In fact, it has already paid off. I jumped to a system today that had a brown dwarf with the largest ring diameter I have ever seen in my career. The rings were 18,651,292KM around and had 271,704,177,770,496.0MT of materials. There were also 3 small, landable planets orbiting in close proximity to the star inside the rings, and a ringed gas giant with water based life orbiting outside the rings. The view was stunning from the gas giant. Especially in the rings because there were some metallic crystals in the area that gave my photo that little extra bite it needed. Well I think that will do it for now. I will write again once I know where we will end up next.
