I drove for 2 days, thinking I'd never get out of there. until I found it. A plateau with sides I could use as ramps.
I recalled the ship and again it hovered over the ground, right above the plateau.
long story short after a few tries and some some bruises I drove the SRV as fast as I could up the side, and launched myself at the Nomadic, I jumped out of the SRV and gripped onto her, watching the SRV fall to the planet surface and landing upside down.
I wasn't even that mad when I saw the explosion from the Scarab's self destruction as I spooled up the FSD for supercruise.
it's going to be a while before I bone up the courage to land on another moon.
